Whose drunkedness was worse?...Testimony

Some people seem to think drunkedness in the flesh is one of the worse sins in the world which will send such drunks to the pits of hell. So rather than explain my difference of opinion allow me to give you a true life experience from our past that might help you better understand WHO DRUNKEDNESS WAS AND IS THE WORSE ?

****************************

It was 1981, Joy and I and kids were in bacolod City in the Philippines, at the one of the many homes of a king from Manila. An Irish sister
called A. was shepherding it with her mate called T.and they had a daughter of about five years old.

But T wasn't the father as S. kept telling him and therefore he wasn't allowed to discipline or decide anything concerning S's daughter, although he took very good care of her and loved her dearly. But S constantly got little notes from the biological father who wasn't Christian but a good-looking agnostic uncaring musician back in Ireland.

T. had been with S and her daughter for over two years now and was seen as her mate in most situations, yet in private S. didn't respect him much at all but just seemed to use him to take care of her and her daughter.

But S. was very happy in the Philippines because Filippino men are messmerized by any girl of a different color no matter what their personality,or looks. Yet S. didn't understand this and took her success on herself. She sang
"killing me softly over and over again as her theme song and then flirted and enticed money and gifts out of all if possible. She loved the adulation. But S spent so much time seducing this one businessman, and always kept him at arm's length. It was embarassing to say the least. he kept giving her money in anticpation of her so-called testimony of love. But she never gave him any.

We, weren't the shepherds, S and T were but because... others, ourselves and even T suggested that she stop teasing him so much while receiving his gifts and just do it. She begrudingly did it one night and then the next night when I brought her home after I went with her singing while I did the litnessing..... Joy informed her that
T. was in the back mangrove orchard completely drunk.

Well, S. took out the back door and we could hear her yelling at him with all her might, screaming and rebuking him for being drunk. It was then that Joy told me what T. had told her with a sad heart beforehand,

For although they had been together for so long, S had never wanted to make love to T. She always made excuses and kept bringing out her boyfriends pictures and reminding T. that he wasn't a part of their little family. In other words, she was just using T. and she never loved T. and had never ever slept with him once. And we all never knew this fact until T. revealed it to Joy.

And we all including T. had encouraged S. to do it with her fish, and she did, but had never ever done it with T. ever. How sad and this is why T. had gotten so drunk. He hadn't hurt anyone, he hadn't damaged anyone or anyone's heart, but he was as drunk as anyone could get. And we could hear S. bawling him out for his huge horrible sin of 'drunkedness'.

Joy and I, now knowing the fuller story went out to defend T. in his condition knowing S's condition but it was to no avail, of course.

nevertheless, let me ask you. which of the two was really drunk? which of the two was the greater sinner? and which of the two had a harder heart?

For if you can answer these questions then maybe you can discern which is more sinful drunkedness in the flesh or drunkedness in the flesh.

For then maybe also you can decide (as it says in Revelations),,,who is the greater sexual sinner, they that fornicate in the flesh or they that fornicate in the spirit with materialism and pride

What are your opinions...for is it the flesh or is it the spirit that is more important. Is it the external obediance to external laws or the obediance of the heart in love that is important.

I await any answers except for one

IMO according to life and the scriptures.

Jay
