Permit me to repost from the prophecy Board, some thoughts concerning an attempted discussion on drugs (meaning mainly weeds) or hallucinogens that some have labelled as 'purely' from the Lord.

To start the discussion, I would say that weeds and parasitic bugs are part of God's creation but they aren't pure, and they are just for comparison sake as the Lord created the evil and the good, and they 'ain't good'.

As an ex landsacper and farmer , I'd definitely have to say I am against weeds and predators and parasites and varmites. And whem I got my license to spray these critters whether animal or vegetable, i did it with a vengance. I hated weeds and the evil bugs where they were destroying what I and others planted.

So I don't consider just any old thing as pure jusy because the Lord created it...for he created the good and the evil and we are suppose to have the discernment to distinquish between the two.

Therefore I don't think I'd be smoking any weeds as I don't like smoking anyway and never have. It doesn't make me self-righteous, I just hate breathing in smoke and saw no purpose in it. Similarly spiritually I don't know anyone that has a dream or vision from the Lord while stoned with weeds and greeds, but they all seemed to fast and pray and get high naturally and normally and spiritually. All the dark side folks seemed to get wierd trips and see wierd beasts and demons on their so-called highs and lows, so I personnally can't see any use for artificial drugs in communicating with the Lord. Their is no precedence for it unless one person can name a prophecy of truth that came when someone was stoned.

Drinking wine is scriptural, even though that can be misused as Mo did quite well with his sherry and other extreme intoxications, but while drunk when did he get true prophecies. None that I know of or have heard of.

So if I have to start the conversation or debate concerning drugs and their prophetic benefit, I see no use for them. of course I realize the Lord can fight thru the illusions and hallucinations no matter what drug is involved, nevertheless why make it harder for Him when he can normally and naturally and spiritually get through to us in His Spirit.

So in my opinion, unto the pure, all things are only pure if they have 'pure discernment' because all things aren't pure unless the Lord made them that way. And the normal and natural and spiritual know the difference.
