Gideon's excommunicated me for 'selling beer'

Because we are talking about crazy rules and crazy laws to eventually establish sane rules and sane laws, permit to post from my personal history another ex-communication I went thruogh. It seems as my life at least has been full of ex-communications, for when the groups and groupies forsake us, then the Lord will take us up and in..... to his Encampment and hopefully call us up to His Marriage Supper. And I'm getting hungry and thirsty.

Anyway after we got ex-communicated from the family for no other reason than being informed of current events through radio, T.V. and talking with locals, we switched cities in the Philippines and then tried so-called non-denominational churches and eventually I joined the GIDEON's group. We distributed Bibles in jails and other places , so what could be wrong with this nothing. I was a good working member until I had to fill out the entrance questions for full membership. And ALAS, it said I couldn't sell alcohol. What I'm thinking that's crazy. Where does it say that in the Bible..jesus made wine himself. But the Gideions didn't care about that, and a few of them knew I had a little sari-sary store or minature grocery store on our front porch. It was doing quite good, so I think they wanted me to close it down and serve the Lord and their professions whatever they were, which were so much holier-than-mine. Well, I wasn't going to be a change for them and their crazy self-righteous laws and I wasn't going to stop drinking beer as well for them for who knows where it would all end if I had to compromise for this church group.

No thanks, go ahead and ex-communicate me and they did, cause they couldn't have a beer drinking beer salesman among their ranks of their mainly materialistic businessmen. I mean, I was willing to overlook their sins for the sake of distributing Bibles, but they couldn't overlook my selling beer cause that meant I was a dirty rotten sinners in their eyes.

Oh give me a break and they did, and excommunicated me for it. Oh well, I went home and had a beer and went on serving the Lord anyway.

In His Continued Service

PS) So what are the rules we are to follow and the closer to the Lord we get, are there more rules or less rules, do so called leaders get away with more or are they more accountable. Is it true that
true Christians are only allowed two or three beers a week like the family leadership dictates to their lowly followers while the leaders pop open a case a night. So what are the rules anyway. What's your opinion ?
