I always said, M.C. I hate pain. I can handle all sorts of things. But toothaches and headaches etc., I take my aspirin and whatever to stop the pain. Matter of fact, I won't hardly drink beer anymore cause I don't like hangovers and wasting the next day because of the night before.
So my above post was from 'hidden meanings' web-site which was true concerning jesus as I always wondered about the gall and vinegar whether they were taunting him or not.
As for other drugs, as mentioned and as trying to get DavID ut of the woods concerning his views. I think it takes discernment, some are natural, some are not, some will do you harm, some help, but don't do it because of others or because a doctor without explanation said to take them, etc. etc.
I did try to get more specific, concerning drugs and prophetic visions enhancement etc. which I see no historical background for.
Whereas for our personal pain, take what you got the faith for. But there are a myriad of chemicals out there and most have not been tested.
I don't have a set rule about doctors and drugs concerning myself or our kids, for although I don't like doctors in general and their atitude nor drugs in general, who's to say what I would or would not take in the future. it's between me and the Lord and I had better be in tune when taking them or its all over. Tylenol 3 almost killed me....Ha after somebody tried to kill me. But that's another story.
So what I'm a getting at here, M.C. is that there is a lot of discernment to be had concerning drugs and I certainly don't know it all as I said, but its a huge topic of discussion if you were to ask me, with a multitude of sub-topics. And I personnally don't see why people don't want to discuss it.
I mean this is truly a legalized doped up society and they try to fill us with drugged food, water, and over the counter drugs to keep us sedated, and yet people don't want to talk about it...so go figure.
