Women bear the children, this is the KEY issue, imo.

The more wives a man may have, the more children are possible.

This is NOT the case if a woman has many husbands.

THAT difference illustrates the main PURPOSE of marriage as an institutional, organisational, cultural EDIFICE of theocratic AUTHORITY.

It's about FAMILIES, in other words...

Marriage is the LAW made FLESH.

This is why Bridal Theology plays such a particular place in Judeo/Christian Ethics, Morality and Religious Devotion, etc. besides the "legalisation" of "human relationships" in other cultural traditons and social norms, etc.

Does GRAVITY exist in Heaven???

Well, yes and no.

Sure, there is "up and down", in the sense of a DIRECTION, but without the ATTRACTIVE FORCE of Gravity, there is no such thing as "grounded to the earth", is there?

The "spiritual parallel" to God's CREATION, in terms of MARRIAGE (as in LAW, covenant, VOWS, etc.) is GRAVITY.

MARRIAGE = LAW = GRAVITY

A bird can overcome gravity, in a sense, because it has wings!

Birds symbolise ANGELS.

Matthew 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

But GRAVITY always exists still, even in Heaven.

But if you have WINGS it hasn't the same power it has over you, as it would over a slug, or a worm or a shrew, for that matter. ;-)

The FACT of the matter is that the Doctrine of MONOGAMY (or is it a DOGMA?) is a particularly sanctimonious, authoritarian reflection and/or interpretation of MONOTHEISM, in all its Patriarchal glory and hypocrisy! grin!

See, our whole man-made science also expresses a belief in a monotheistic Cosmology. We talk of a UNIVERSE.

UNI means ONE

But the CREATION is not UNI, it is OMNI.

See, there is NOT ONE GOD. GODHEAD is manifold, in other words.

There is no such thing as UNIiversal TIME either, as the Newtonians assumed. And as ther enlightened discoverer of how ENERGY (spirit) and MATTER (gravity-MASS) are the same thing, through the SPEED of LIGHT (GOD is LIGHT, literally and metaphorically, both at once!) Professor Einstein demonstrated that TIME is more or less a physical ILLUSION of our SENSORY MEASUREMENTS.

That's the CORE ERROR of Judeo/Christian Theology, imo. Thjey have erronously assumed that KNOWLEDGE of GOD is a MONOTHEISTIC ABSOLUTE.

GOD is a SPIRIT and SPIRIT does not have the attribute of NUMBER, in the sense of a distinction of CARDINALITY.

Do you think it is a co-incidence that the terms CARNAL and CARDINAL are so similar?

The TRUTH is that the GODHEAD is PLURAL.

It was originally expressed even in the Book of Genesis:

Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

GOD is NOT SINGULAR.

GOD is PLURAL.

This dogma that the fundamentalist always proclaim regarding marriage, that TWO would become ONE, in MARRIAGE, is a FALSEHOOD.

Nobody "becomes ONE".

It's NONSENSE!

GOD is PLURAL.

Marriage is like GRAVITY.
