Allow me to give you my present fellowship rules if I had a fellowship way up here in the mountains of British Columbia Canada.
Oh Jay, quite dreaming, people aren't going to walk an hour with pack packs to our mountain lake andcross over to the island but we'd have to be in man's cities or campgrounds or at our house.
All of which dictate different rules, because of man's crazy laws and the responsibilities imposed on those giving parties and having liquor present at parties or even worse drugs being smoked.
Ha, so no fellowship at our house unless I personnally everyone indivdually invited.
At a local campsite, even if people came over to our campsite, my family could probably be held responsible for anyone drinking there, so I wouldn't want alcohol consumed because I wouldn't want to risk it all for a mere party, even though drinking with good hearted people is good hearted fun.
And then when you add kids to the mix, again the system has innumerable laws against kids mixing with alchol when it is consumed, so again I would be leary (Remember the Ohio fellowship). So again dancing even if in good hearted fun, it just ain't normal at a campsite as the impure have impure thoughts and again I wouldn't know all that came in some cases. For again there are no set stabdards for NDN folks, yet if I selectively invited to the chagrin of some, some of these problems would be eliminated and there could be more freedom.
As for drugs useage, YES I would allow Nutrasweet users to join in, but not marjuana users. WHY cause it is too dangerous, the dam system has too many laws against them smoking it, so I would avoid it as it just wouldn't be worth it to risk everything to have people smoking near me. I would want them to smoke elsewhere, NOT because I think it is the sin of sins, but because of the criminalization of cananbis.
So there now you can call me intolerant and not liberal enough while others can call me as before a drug pusher and sex maniac and all I wanted to do was just talk old times and especially new prophetic times. Wish I could have a few beers and sing a couple of old songs and do a slow sholamelachem around a fire. Ha, but open campfires aren;t akkowed either...Oh well so many laws and so little freedom. I think I'll just post some more and forget the fellowship organizing for now.
IMO
Jay
